Atlanta Falcons NFL Draft Team Needs

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Atlanta Falcons

Current Depth Chart of the Atlanta Falcons

Defensive End/Pass Rush
Falcons are in need of some serious pass rush. John Abraham is still producing but is not getting any younger. It is safe to say that Jamaal Anderson is a bust. In round 1 the Falcons should have a chance to grab one of the top defensive ends in this years group.

Linebacker
Brooking left a big hole when he departed for Dallas. Mike Peterson was effective early on but started to show his age at 33. The Falcons are in need of a team leader/playmaker who can take the defense to the next level.  Lucky for the Falcons linebacker is one of the deepest positions in this years draft.

Wide Receiver
Roddy White has solidified himself as one of the best receivers in the league. With Matt Ryan only getting better and better the Falcons need to find a true number 2 wide receiver. Some will argue that wide receiver isn’t as big of a need but when you have a quarterback like Ryan it is important to get him as many weapons as possible. With Turner in the backfield, Gonzalez at tight end this team has the ability to put up big numbers.
