Houston Texans NFL Draft Team Needs

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Houston Texans

Current Depth Chart of the Houston Texans

Cornerback
The loss of star CB Dunta Robinson in free agency has left a gaping hole in he Texans defensive backfield.  This is an area they are likely to address in the first round with a guy like Boise St.’s Kyle Wilson or possibly Rutgers Devin McCourty.

Defensive Tackle
The Texans would love to get a big defensive tackle to line up next to Amobi Okoye to help take some pressure off of him.  They could get a big run stuffer or go with a more penetrating type who can provide some inside pass rush.  This is an area the team is likely to address sometime in the first three rounds.

Running Back
The Texans need to get more physical and would love a bruising back to pair with the shifty pass catching ability of Steve Slaton.  They will likely hold off on this position until at least the third round as their needs on defense are more pressing, but some names to keep an eye on would be Toby Gerhart, Montario Hardesty, Anthony Dixon, and LaGarrette Blount.
