Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Draft Team Needs

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Jacksonville Jaguars

Current Depth Chart of the Jacksonville Jaguars

Defensive End
The Jaguars registered just 14 sacks as a team last season.  That is a number they will need to at least double next year.  Signing Aaron Kampan in the offseason helps, but he is coming off an injury.  They will have to think long and hard about Derrick Morgan or Jason Pierre-Paul with the no. 1o selection.

 Linebacker
The Jaguars are in need of some depth and improvement at both linebacking positions.  They have a couple of solid starters in Smith and Durant but could upgrade over rookie Russell Allen.  The Jaguars don’t have a second round pick but this is one area they could look at in round one with Rolando McClain being a viable option at pick 10.  They could also address this need when they pick again in round 3.

Wide Receiver
Mike Sims Walker emerged as a no. 1 receiver last year and Mike Thomas also showed promise.  They did add Kassim Osgood in the offseason but if a solid option like Eric Decker or Jordan shipley falls in their laps in round 3 they may just go ahead and pull the trigger.
