Miami Dolphins NFL Draft Team Needs

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Miami Dolphins

Current Depth Chart of the Miami Dolphins

Wide Receiver
This is a team that simply lacks a true no. 1 receiver.  They have some decent bit players in Hartline, Bess, and Ginn, but need a big sure handed target for young Chad Henne.  They have got to have their eye set on Dez Bryant with their first pick, and he would look awfully good in teal and orange.

Linebacker
The Dolphins actually have needs on the inside and outside linebacker positions.  Inside they have Akin Adoyele and Reggie Torbor and neither one strikes fear into their opponents.  Outside they have an age issue with Jason Taylor and Jerry Porter as starters.  By all accounts Porter won’t be back with the team and Taylor only has a year or two left.  They’ll need to aggressively target these positions throughout the draft.

Running Back
This may be a surprise to some but the Dolphins should look at adding a young back fairly early.  Ricky Williams surprised the league with how well he ran last year but he is 32 and looking to retire.  Ronnine Brown played well but was hit by the injury bug yet again, and the Phins have got to be getting frustrated with his lack of durability.
