1. St Louis Rams
My Pick: Sam Bradford – QB – Oklahoma
Actual Pick: Sam Bradford – QB – Oklahoma – This was pretty much a no brainer for the the Rams unless someone offered them the farm for the first pick, which obviously didn’t happen. Grade: B+
2. Detroit Lions
My Pick: Gearld McCoy – DT – Oklahoma
Actual Pick: Ndamukond Suh – DT – Nebraska - I had McCoy going higher than Suh because I feel he can step in right away and contribute. The Lions couldn’t go wrong either way, as each one’s a beast. Grade: A-
3. Tampa Bay Bucs
My Pick: Ndamukong Suh – DT – Nebraska
Actual Pick: Gerald McCoy – DT – Oklahoma – The Bucs get a more established player in McCoy, but like I said about the Suh pick, it’s a win win situation for both teams. Grade: A
4. Washington Redskins
My Pick: Russell Okung – OT – Oklahoma State
Actual Pick: Trent “Silver Back” Williams – OT – Oklahoma – The general consensus was that Okung was going to be the top O-Tackle off the board, with Williams a close second. We obviously know which way the Skins were leaning.
5. Kansas City Chiefs
My Pick: Eric Berry – S – Tennessee
Actual Pick: Eric Berry – S- Tennessee – The Chiefs defense ranked 30th last year, taking Berry if he was still there at 5 was a must. Grade: A
6. Seattle Seahawks
My Pick: Bryan Bulaga – OT – Iowa
Actual Pick: Russell Okung – OT – Oklahoma St. – The Seahawks get a steal with Okung falling to them at pick 6. Bulaga on the other hand, well let’s just say I was a little off on that one. Grade: A
7. Cleveland Browns
My Pick: Dez Bryant – WR – Oklahoma State
Actual Pick: Joe Haden – CB – Florida – I had Haden going here pretty much from the get go, but decided to change it for my final mock. Bryant’s character issues helped his free fall. Grade: B-
8. Oakland Raiders
My Pick: Trent Williams – OT – Oklahoma
Actual Pick: Rolando McClain – ILB – Alabama – Who would have thought that Al Davis would make a smart pick. McClain went earlier than expected, but you can easily justify the pick. Grade: B+
9. Buffalo Bills
My Pick: Jimmy Clausen – QB – Notre Dame
10. Jacksonville Jaguars
My Pick: Derrick Morgan – DE – Gerogia Tech
11. Denver Broncos (from Chicago)
My Pick: Rolando McClain – LB – Alabama
