DraftSeason: Who was your favorite NFL player/team growing up?
Andre: Steeler's Center Dermontti Dawson. He went to Kentucky
and I am a big-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I met him
at the Pro Bowl back in 1993. I think I told him this
that I met him at the Pro Bowl when I was 11 or 12
years old and who would have known 11 or 12 years
later I would be at the same university playing
football. I have always paid attention to him and when
I found out he played at Kentucky it just drew me more
to Kentucky and everything about him.
DraftSeason: What is the best part about being a Kentucky
Wildcat?
Andre: Getting a chance to compete in the SEC. That type of
competition allows us all to improve as players.
DraftSeason: What would you say is your greatest strength and
weakness as a signal caller?
Andre: I say my greatest strength is confidence and poise in
the pocket. I always am willing to take a big hit to
get the right read and perfect throw off. My weakness
is sometimes I give up on the play to quick to gain
yards with my legs. In some film sessions this spring
I noticed I missed some open receivers because I was
too quick to pull it down.
DraftSeason: Who do you feel is the best all-around quarterback
in the nation?
Andre: I'd have to go with Colt Brennan. His stats speak for
themself.
DraftSeason: Is there any current NFL quarterback that you would compare your style of play to?
Andre: Current, maybe a Donovan McNabb or a Jeff Garcia.
DraftSeason: Who has been the best defensive player you have
faced throughout your college career?
Andre: Amobi Okoye was pretty good when we played Louisville.
He was always in the backfield and just disrupting
things.
DraftSeason: What is your all-time favorite movie?
Andre: Scarface or Friday but I think most football players
would say those two.
DraftSeason: Finally Andre, how would you describe your style of
play using one word?
Andre: Consistent
