DraftSeason: You were a former walk on, is that a chip that you keep on your
shoulder, and
is something that always motivates you to be your best?
Christian: People have been telling me that I'm too small to be a linebacker and
too slow to be a safety since high school. All I can do is control
myself and I have complete confidence in my abilities. Everytime I get
on the field I tell myself "I'm the best player out here so act like
it".
DraftSeason:What is more rewarding for you, sacking the quarterback or picking
off a pass
and why?
Christian: Sacking the quarterback is more rewarding. Those guys get protected so
much by the officials now that anytime I can get a shot on them I love
to take it.
DraftSeason: Would you say you are stronger vs. the run or stronger vs. the pass?
Christian: Stronger vs the run. I use my quickness and reaction time to get
myself into position to make plays vs the run. I figure out before the
play starts where I need to get to vs different plays so I have a jump
as soon as I get my read.
DraftSeason: Who has been the best player you have ever faced in your career at
UCLA?
Christian: It's not an individual player, but a group instead. The 2005 USC
offensive line.
DraftSeason: Who was your favorite NFL player and team growing up?
Christian:
Favorite NFL players were Barry Sanders and John Lynch. Favorite NFL
team is the Niners!
DraftSeason: What is one thing that most people don't know about you?
Christian: I am really into photography.
DraftSeason: What do you enjoy most about playing middle linebacker?
Christian: Being in the middle of everything and always having the chance to mess
up any offensive play that comes in my area.
DraftSeason: Finally, if you could describe your style of play using only one
word what
would it be?
Christian: Agressive
