Where are they now?
To often stud college players get drafted and never make an impact in the NFL. DraftSeason takes a quick look at a few of the most recent players we never heard from again.
2003 Second Round Pick Mike Doss.
Mike Doss was the 2nd round pick of the Colts in 2003. Doss started out his NFL career having a great rookie year and looked to be a fixture in the Colts defensive backfield for years to come. Injuries and off-field issues soon put a quick damper on his career and was released by the Colts in 2006. He bounced around for a few years with the Vikings and Bengals
So Where Is Mike Doss Now?
After being released by the Bengals in April of 2009 Mike Doss took his game to the UFL after being selected by the Florida Tuskers in June of 2009.
2001 First Round Pick Adam Archuleta.
Adam Archuleta was the 20th pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2001. After putting up solid numbers he signed with the Redskins but never really became the dominant safety many had thought. He also had short stints with the Bears and the Raiders.
So Where Is Adam Archuleta Now?
After being cut by the Oakland Raiders in final cuts of 2008 Archuleta went the entire year without playing in the NFL. On June 19th, 2009 the UFL Las Vegas team selected Archuleta, hopefully he can turn his career around in the UFL and find his way back into the NFL.

David Pollack
Where is David Pollack?
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Georgia defensive end David Pollack with the 17th pick in the 2005 draft. After missing training camp with a lengthy hold out, Pollack finally signed a contract and recorded 4.5 sacks & 22 tackles his rookie season. In just his second game of his sophomore campaign, Pollack left the field on a stretcher with a broken sixth cervical vertebrae. After a lot of hard work and training, Pollack finally decided to retire from the NFL in 2008.
So Where Is David Pollack Now?
David started a business called FanBan, which manufactures sports themed banners. He helps out local YMCA’s with his company events. Most recently, he’s been doing some sports radio, and covering college football for CBS.
Where is Omar Jacobs?
The Pitsburgh Steelers selected Bowling Green quarterback, Omar Jacobs, with the 164th pick overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. After a lot of hype in college, the Steelers placed him on theri practice squad, later to be cut. The Bowling Green standout had short practice squad stints with both the Eagles & the Chiefs, where he ended his short NFL career on injured reserve.
So where is Omar Jacobs?
Omar found a home with the Florence Phantoms of the American Indoor Football Association. The Pahntoms won the AIFA Championship in 2008 with the help of Jacobs, who was named MVP of the game.
