Jamie Silva NFL Draft Interview

DraftSeason: Jamie, you play the game with a lot of intensity and always seem to be around the ball, to what do you attribute your aggressive style to?
Jamie: That’s how I’ve always played the game. I just try to get in on every play because you never know when the ball will slip out and you want to be that guy to pick it up and help your team.

DraftSeason: What are your main goals at the Combine? What aspect of your game are you most anxious to show scouts?
Jamie: My main goals would be to run a decent 40 and impress the Scouts, GM’s, Pro Personnel, and Coaches with my workout drills. I’m most anxious to show them my instincts and my ability to make plays.

DraftSeason: Who was the best player you ever played against in a game?
Jamie: Truthfully, I don’t have one player that I would single out.

DraftSeason: What’s more satisfying for you: laying out a receiver with a big hit, or intercepting a pass?
Jamie: Intercepting a pass because it gives my team the opportunity to score.

DraftSeason: If you could meet one person alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Jamie: The original Rain Man (Kim Peek) because he’s a human encyclopedia. I just think it is amazing how he remembers everything he sees and hears, and how his mind works like no one else’s. I think he would be really interesting to talk with.

DraftSeason: What are some things you like doing when you are away from the football field?
Jamie: I like hanging out with my friends, watching TV, playing video games and “treasure hunting”.

DraftSeason: What will you miss most about your playing days at Boston College?
Jamie: I guess just the whole aspect of living with your teammates who are your friends. We all just got along so well and basically grew up together over those 5 years.

DraftSeason: What will the team that drafts Jamie Silva be getting?
Jamie: They will get a hardworking player who will do anything it takes to make plays.
