DraftSeason: Joe, what would you say is the strongest part of your game? In what areas do you need the most improvement?
Joe: I'd say my instincts are the strongest part of my game. Areas I need to work on is zone coverage and using my hands better when dealing with blockers.
DraftSeason: You have been a special teams standout in your career with the Fighting Irish, do you feel that is an area where you could make an immediate impact at the next level?
Joe: Yeah, I spent most of my career on special teams so I definitely think I can step in and play on teams right away.
DraftSeason: What is it like playing for Coach Charlie Weiss?
Joe: I enjoyed playing for Coach Weis because he knows how to get the most out of his players on and off the field.
DraftSeason: Who was the best player you have ever faced in your career at Notre Dame?
Joe: Reggie Bush.
DraftSeason: This was a disappointing season for Notre Dame, how tough was it for you, especially since it was your last chance to play college ball?
Joe: This season was hard to deal with no question with going 3-9 but at the same time I learned a lot from the situation. It is always easy to keep pushing yourself when the season is going your way but your real character shows when your back is against the wall and this aren't working out the way they were planned.
DraftSeason: What has been the highlight of your college football career?
Joe: I'd say probably my first career start last year against Purdue.
DraftSeason: You played mostly inside linebacker in college, do you feel you are versatile enough to move to the outside?
Joe: Yeah, I think I could play the weakside linebacker position as well. I played will all of last year before making the move to the middle this year.
DraftSeason: When your playing days are over and its time to hang up the cleats for good, how do you want people to remember Joe Brockington?
Joe: Someone that plays the game the way it should be. With heart and leaves it out there on the field every time he plays.
