Jo-Lonn Dunbar
College : Boston College
Position: Inside Linebacker

Bio: Dunbar is a physical player who reacts well to a play and attacks the ball carrier. He is student of the game and is always prepared mentally and physically.

DraftSeason: Jo-Lonn, what was your favorite part about playing linebacker for the Boston College Eagles?
Jo-Lonn: The physicality of it…I like running around and being able to read and react instead of playing a more structured style of football.

DraftSeason: What is the strongest part of your game, and what are some areas where you need the most improvement?
Jo-Lonn: The strongest part of my game is my instincts, knowledge, preparation and the mental part of the game. I also think my physical nature is one my strong points. I need the most improvement in hand technique, and my pass-rush technique.

DraftSeason: What is more rewarding for you, sacking the quarterback or intercepting a pass?
Jo-Lonn: Intercepting a pass, because turnovers change field position and changes momentum, and gives me an opportunity to score.

DraftSeason: Who is the best player you have ever faced in a game during your time at Boston College?
Jo-Lonn: The most talented player I’ve faced is probably Tashard Choice, the RB from Georgia Tech.

DraftSeason: Who was your favorite NFL player growing up?
Jo-Lonn: I was a Running Back growing up, so my favorite player was Emmitt Smith.

DraftSeason: What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
Jo-Lonn: I love to travel. I’ve been to places outside the country like Jamaica and St. Martin.

DraftSeason: What is your favorite movie of all time?
Jo-Lonn: Gladiator

DraftSeason: Finally, you went up against Matt Ryan every day in practice, what makes him so good, and in your opinion is he worthy of a top 5 pick in the draft?
Jo-Lonn: He’s definitely a top 5 pick in the Draft. He doesn’t want to lose. He’s one of the most competitive people I’ve ever met. He never breaks down regardless of the way the game’s going or whether he just threw a pick the prior possession.
