1. Eugene Monroe OT, Virginia: The worst team ever needs help everywhere. While I'm a staunch supporter of them taking a QB here, right now there isn't one worth the pick, so they go with the best Senior offensive lineman available. |
2. Aaron Curry OLB, Wake Forest: The Rams defense is a total misery, and taking the best defensive player in the draft wouldn't be such a bad move. |
3. Brian Orakpo DE, Texas: Since the Chiefs let Allen go they can no longer sack anyone. Orakpo would be a really good helper in that area. |
4. Jason Smith OT, Baylor : Walter Jones is getting way up there and it is time for a new padawan to take his place. |
5. Malcolm Jenkins CB, Ohio St.: The Browns secondary was torched repeatedly last season. So taking this local product would help and he'd be quite popular with the fans and the ladies. |
6. Michael Oher OT, Ole Miss: The Bengals couldn't run the ball all that well this year, or protect their QB for that matter. So they grab the big man from Ole Miss and hope for a brighter and more productive 09 season. |
7. Vontae Davis CB, Illinois: Asomaghahahgha is a free agent so who knows if he'll be back and they don't have anything on the opposite side anyway. Davis has lots of things going for him, he is a great athlete, he has amazing ball skills, and he shares the same last name as the crazy owner of the Raiders. |
8. Rey Mauluaga LB, USC: The Jags were hoping for an offensive tackle here but an early run makes them "settle" for one of the best defensive players in the draft. |
9. Tyson Jackson DE, LSU: The Packers couldn't get much pressure on the QB in 08. So they will most likely be targeting a defensive end here at pick no. 9er. |
10. Michael Johnson DE, Georgia Tech: The 9ers pass rush was lacking last year. Johnson does one thing extremely well and that is rush the passer. It looks to me like this is a match made in mock draft heaven. |
11. Brandon Pettigrew TE, Oklahoma St.: What is the best cure for a struggling young QB? Give him a nice big tight end for a safety valve. |
12. BJ Raji DT, Boston College: The Broncos defense couldn't stop the most generic of running backs last year. Raji is a run stuffing machine and should prove to be a quick fix. |
13. Brian Cushing LB, USC: The Redskins linebackers are solid but age is getting to be an issue. Cushing is a stud and would be a nice fit in the teepee. |
14. James Laurinaitis LB, Ohio St.: The Saints will need to address their defensse to make it to the next level. Laurinaitis is an animal and should be a nice fit in the Big Easy. |
15. William Moore S, Mizzou: The Texans defense was offensive last year and adding a playmaking safety should pay dividends. |
16. Max Unger OL, Oregon: The Chargers don't have many weaknesses so grabbing a versatile lineman who can fill in at right tackle, guard, and center is a luxury they can afford. |
17. Alphonso Smith CB, Wake Forest: The Jets have one stud corner in Revis and a nice youngster in Lowery the rest of their corps is either old or sub par. Smith is gonna be a good one. |
18. Sen'Derrick Marks DT, Auburn: The Bears defense has lost it's bite. Adding another big defensive tackle next to Harris should help. |
19. Peria Jerry DT, Ole Miss: The Bucs group of defensive tackles will benefit from an infusion of youth. |
20. (FROM COWBOYS) Duke Robinson G, Oklahoma: The Lions get nutty and upgrade their offensive line yet again. |
21. Phil Loadholt OT, Oklahoma : The Cardinals can't run the ball on anyone. Maybe with the big man in tow things will change. |
22. Chase Coffman TE, Mizzou : The Eagles could use a playmaker at the tight end spot, especially if young Kevin Kolb is their starter next year. |
23. Jamon Meredith OT, South Carolina: The Vikings biggest need is at right tackle next year and hopefully there is a prospect more worthy than Meredith to go at this spot for them. |
24. Clay Matthews LB, USC: The Pats still need more depth and youth at the linebacker spot. |
25. Fili Moala DT, USC: The Falcons need another defensive tackle in the worst way. |
26. Darius Butler CB, UCONN: The Dolphins need better players at the corners. |
27. Victor "Macho" Harris CB, Va. Tech: The Ravens defense is tits, but some young feathers are needed in the secondary. |
28. Clint Sintim LB, Virginia: How do you ensure that your defense will stay potent for years? By continuing to add talent and depth. |
29. Evander "Ziggy" Hood DT, Mizzou: The Colts need a defensive tackle desperately. |
30. Alex Mack C, Cal: The Steelers entire offensive line needs and upgrade and Mack is a great value here. |
31. Juaquin Iglesias WR, Oklahoma: The Titans need a real receiver and Iglesias can be their hero baby. |
32. Brian Robiskie WR, Ohio St.: With Plaxico out for the forseeable future and Toomer aging rapidly the Giants could add a wideout here. |
