2010 NFL Draft Needs of the Dallas Cowboys
Current Depth Chart of the Dallas Cowboys
Safety
The Cowboys don’t really have a ton of needs but safety is definitely one area they could improve upon. Current starters Gerald Sensabaugh and Ken Hamlin are both below average players. They had a combined 1 interception last year. This defense needs a playmaker at this position and they could be looking for one as early as the first round.
Offensive Line
The Cowboys have a solid offensive line but the problem is they are all on the wrong side of 30. An injection of youth is needed to esnure the safety of quarterback Tony Romo and to keep this running game potent for the next decade. Expect Jerry Jones to target an offensive lineman with one of his first two picks.
Wide Receiver
Miles Austin blossomed into a number one receiver while Roy Williams continued his decline. Williams could be let go and that would leave the team shallow with Sam Hurd, Patrick Crayton, and Draftseason interviewee Kevin Ogletree on the chart. Wide receiver is one of the deepest positions in this years draft and the Cowboys could certainly add one in the middle rounds.
