San Diego Chargers NFL Draft Team Needs

2010 NFL Draft Needs of the San Diego Chargers

Current Depth Chart of the San Diego Chargers

Running Back
L.T. is done and the Chargers will be looking for a bigger more physical type of back to pair with the electric Darren Sproles.  The question is when will they do so?  If they address it in round one some options would be Ryan Matthews or Jonathan Dwyer, if they wait until round 3 or later then some players like Toby Gerhart or LaGarette Blount could be possibilities.

Defensive End
The Chargers will be looking for a promising defensive end who can play in a 3-4 defense.  This is a need they could address in round 1 and target a guy like Everson Griffen or convert a college DT like Jared Odrick.  Current starters Louis Castillo and Jacques Cesaire are solid but they could use an upgrade.

Offensive Tackle
The Chargers set with Marcus McNeil on the left but are in major trouble on the right, where something called Brandyn Dombrowski tops the chart over the ancient Jon Runyan.  They shouldn’t wait too long to address this need and would be wise using one of their first three picks to bring in a young guy with some uspide.
