DraftSeason: Your junior year was hampered by injury, would you say you will be 100% for your upcoming senior year?
Ricky Sapp : I feel real good about my knee right now so i’m sure I will be 100% when the season starts.
DraftSeason: What would you say is your biggest goal this you for you and the Tigers?
Ricky Sapp: My goal is to come back and help my team out mush as possible and go to the ACC Championship.
DraftSeason: What would you say is your greatest strength as a football player and what area do you need to work on?
Ricky Sapp: I always felt like my best strength was my speed and the ability to move well in space, I need to add more moves to my push rush.
DraftSeason: Before you knee injury last year, how serious were you thinking about turning pro?
Ricky Sapp: Well it was something that I knew I had to think about, and to be honest I really thought about leaving early, but I just wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing I had left early and coudn’t play in front of the best crowd ever in Death Valley. We have the best fans ever.
DraftSeason: How comfortable are you lining up as an outside linebacker? Do you feel you will be able to excel at this position when you hit the next level?
Ricky Sapp: I feel very comfortable standing up, I really think I will do well at the next level.
DraftSeason: Who has been the best player you have had the chance to play against in your college career?
Ricky Sapp: You know playing in college football everybody is pretty good, but I played against some good players. If i had to say the best it would have to be Tyrod Taylor the quaterback from Virginia Tech, he is very good player.
DraftSeason: What has been your greatest moment on the football field during your Clemson career?
Ricky Sapp: Oh wow. you know I have had so many great moments but the one that stands out is my first year starting when we played Florida St. on a Monday night and on the first snap I made the sack and the crowd went crazy it was a very special moment to me because it was my first year starting in front of the best crowd ever.
DraftSeason: Finally over or under 7 sacks for Ricky Sapp this year?
Ricky Sapp: My goal is ten or better this year.
