Rodney Kinlaw

Bio: Kinlaw is a talented back who has been buried on Penn St.'s depth chart most of his career. He is short, compact, and shifty, and will look to make an impact any way he can this season.

Rodney Kinlaw

DraftSeason: Rodney, you haven’t had a whole lot of opportunities to prove your skills so far in your career. Is this the year we’ll see Rodney Kinlaw breakout and show us what he’s got?
Rodney:
I've always been ready to show my skills but I feel as though I havent been put in the best situations for my abilities and hopefully this year I will get a lot more chances to use my ability in space. I'm ready for the upcoming season because I still feel as though I have a lot to prove and the public hasn't seen what I am capable of doing. I think if I'm used right I will shock a lot of people who haven't seen me really play.

DraftSeason: How would you respond to the scouts who look at your size, and say you aren’t big enough to be a feature back in the NFL?
Rodney: I don't think size is a very big factor if you can get the job done. Look at the size of the best rb's Walter Payton, Barry Sanders none of them were huge bruising backs.

DraftSeason: Is their any current NFL player that you try to mold your game after?
Rodney: I watch Tiki Barber and LT run and I pattern after the two styles.

DraftSeason: Who was your favorite NFL team/player growing up?
Rodney: I never really had a favorite team but my favorite player is Barry Sanders.

DraftSeason: If you could play any other position on the field besides running back, what would it be and why?
Rodney: I would play cornerback because of my size and ability.

DraftSeason: What is it like playing for legendary coach Joe Paterno?
Rodney: It is great playing for Joe Paterno.

DraftSeason: What does #20 like doing when he isn’t playing football?
Rodney: When I'm not playing football I just like to listen to music and chill with my teammates.

DraftSeason: What is your all time favorite movie?
Rodney: My favorite all time movie would have to be Gladiator.
