2011 NFL Draft | 2011 NFL Mock Draft

Senior Bowl Winners

With the Senior Bowl in the books we have a few clear winners that just may have raised their NFL Draft stock. Overall their were many winners throughout the week of practice but when it came to game time their seemed to be only a handful. Below we have listed a few of the players that stood out the most.

Mardy Gilyard | Cincinnati | Wide Receiver
The most explosive offensive player to hit the field on Saturday. Showed he clearly a deep threat and an impact kick returner. Immediately reminded everyone of DeSean Jackson. Actually made his 100+ yards receiving look relatively easy.

Zac Robinson | Oklahoma St | Quarterback
Clearly had the best day of any quarterback. Showed off his big arm finishing with 176 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Was very mobile in the pocket avoiding the rush and had a few great throws over the middle. Robinson once seen as a mid to late round pick could have boosted his draft stock by a few rounds with this performance.

Brandon Graham | Defensive End | Michigan
Best defensive player on the field totaling 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Named the games MVP and may have locked himself into the first round in April.  Graham was all over the field and looked to be in the middle of every tackle.

Jeremy Williams | Tulane | Wide Receiver
Finished with 6 catches for 82 yards along with 27 yards rushing. Showed the ability to be a consistent target and could be a very reliable possession receiver in the NFL. Was clearly the favorite target all of the South’s squads quarterbacks.

Stafon Johnson | Running Back | USC
After a horrific weightlifting injury in September it was just great to see Johnson back on the field and making an impact. Although only totaling 4 yards rushing Johnson ended the game proving he is back to full strength on the field.

LeGarrette Blount | Oregon | Running Back
In a game where passing dominated, Blount took advantage of his 9 carries racking up 44 yards and a touchdown. Blount looked good hitting his holes hard and not being shy about lowering his shoulder against opposing defenders. Blount was one of the guys that needed to stand out to help his hurting draft stock.

Taylor Mays | USC | Safety
Had a good looking interception (until he decided to slide to avoid being tackled). Didn’t disappoint by laying a few good whacks on opposing receivers. Mays looked the part of a safety and may have convinced a few NFL teams to avoid moving him to linebacker.

  1. Reed Bergen says:

Zac Robinson was the best QB? Really? To me, he looked harried, and confused. Taylor Mays made a pick and made a couple of hits, but also whiffed on a few when he tried to get the big hit. What about Alex Carrington, Sean Weatherspoon, Jared Oderick, etc. I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder.

  2. Matt Falk says:

Zac Robinson was hands down the best quarterback on the field at the Senior Bowl ,,,, granted none of them looked good.
