DraftSeason: How big of a difference was it transferring from
Tyler Junior College to a big time program such as
Florida St.?
Shannon: One big diffrence was the speed of the game and the
talent of the division 1 level it was hard to adjust
to at first.
DraftSeason: What is your biggest goal in your final season at
Florida St.?
Shannon: My biggest goal in my final season at FSU is to get
a ACC championship ring and try to bring the history
back with hard and good play.
DraftSeason: What is your greatest football moment to date?
Shannon: My greatest football moment to date is when we
played Miami at the first game and I came out of the
tunnel and seen all those fans who hated the 'Noles
and I knew I was in a great rivalry of two great heavy
weights.
DraftSeason: What is it like playing for a legendary coach like
Bobby Bowden?
Shannon: Its great playing for a coach like Bobby Bowden even
just to be a part of history and just to say I played
for one of the greatest football coaches of all time.
DraftSeason: What is your favorite thing to do off the field?
Shannon: My favorite thing to do off field is just to relax.
I'm a big guy, relaxation is important.
DraftSeason: Who has been the best player you have had the
opportunity to either play with or against?
Shannon: The best player that I have had the honor of going
against and I know he is going to do great in the NFL
is Gaines Adams. It was a nice welcome to college
football going against him
DraftSeason: How would you describe your style of playing using
only one word?
Shannon: My playing style is more of an aggressive one and a
little bit of finesse also.
DraftSeason: Finally Shannon, what is the best part about being
a Seminole?
Shannon: The best part of being a Seminole is being a part of
history and knowing that that jersey I put on for
every game, someone great has also worn that jersey.
