Offensive MVP

Riley Reiff
Yeah you read that right. I mean has this guy even given up a sack yet this year? What a difference a year makes, going from Matt Kalil to  Reiff. While he does it quietly he has been game changing. Not having to constantly worry about your quarterback getting smoked on every single play has been one of the best parts about watching the Vikings in ’17. While the sexy/easy choice would be Adam Thielen, something tells me his stats wouldn’t be anywhere near what they are without Reiff at left tackle.

Runner-up: Adam Thielen

Defensive MVP

Harrison Smith
Could have easily been Everson Griffen and his 10 sacks. But Smith is the leader and quarterback of this defense and week in and week out. While his stats aren’t eye popping (3 INTs, 43 tackles, 1.5 sacks) like Griffen’s, this guy is the heart and soul of the Vikings defense. If he isn’t an All-Pro at the end of the year I will jump into Lake Superior wearing nothing but my left sock.

Runner-up: Everson Griffen

Rookie of the Year

Dalvin Cook
This one is painful even to type. Cook was on pace to have a huge rookie year before tearing his ACL. The bright side is we got a glimpse of what the future holds and are still winning games even without him. Look for a certain rookie center to take over this spot come year end.

Runner-up: Pat Elflein

Biggest Surprise So Far

Mike Remmers
So he might not be playing at an All-Pro level, I think it’s safe to say he is playing better than most expected. Remmers is playing at an above average level on the right side and along with Reiff has helped completely revamp the piss poor offensive line from a year ago. Lets just hope the old man can keep it together for another 8 games.

Runner-up: Jerick McKinnon

Biggest Disappointment So Far

Latavius Murray
Yes Murray did have a big game against Baltimore but for the year so far he has only totaled 249 yards on the ground with a measly 3.2 ypc. Since Cook went down Jet has been more of a focal point on offense and has earned the time over the former Raider. Murray has looked stiff and while he runs tough, struggles to get past the line of scrimmage. Lets hope he can make an impact down the stretch.

Runner-up: Michael Floyd

Who’s Gonna Shine the Rest of the Way

Stefon Diggs
Diggs is should be healthy and hopefully continue on the pace he was at in the first 3 weeks. Regardless of who the quarterback is I see Diggs having some huge games down the stretch.

Runner-up: Anthony Barr
